Southampton will be a big test for Arsenal

I’ve always been scared of newly promoted sides to the Premier League. Its as though they come into games with a renegade type of attitude that separates them from the rest of the pack. Ultimately though, you’ll find that until the hype of getting into top flight football fades, a newly promoted side are the most dangerous team to face.
That’s what we’re up against come Saturday. Southampton have looked sharp in front of goal. They play these looping, lofted balls into the box, just waiting for someone to header it into the back of the net. They do the basics right when they move forward- they keep possession and play quick one-two’s on the counter attack. Perhaps their biggest strength lies in the mind. Opposition underestimate them and they’re full of confidence. Don’t think our game will be easy given that they’re get to get a point in three matches. The Saints were unlucky against Man U and City. How did they lose both those games? Just asking that question gives testament to how dangerous Southampton can be.
But stuff it, we’re the Gunners! I don’t care who our next opponent is, we always go into a match the favorites and technically should make easy food out the Saints. Some minor concerns are : firstly Diaby-will be fit? Six days recovery time from a muscle injury sustained early in the week may just rule him out, which would mean Ramsey gets a start. Secondly Giroud- the reason Man U and City were able to win those games was because they had a man in the front to score. I hope the match doesn’t come to that though. Wait, what am I saying? Its like all of a sudden we’re too afraid to ask Giroud to score for us, lest we add pressure on him. Giroud, go score goals.
The Saints play positive, simple football. They won’t be a walk over but I have faith we going to prove a point on Saturday. A clean sheet will also be great but most importantly, we’re up for a second consecutive win. Up the Gunners!
