Despite Koscielny powering home the equalizer for the Gunners’; let’s
not forget the magic that was Santi Cazorla. The Spaniard made some
darting runs into space and troubled the City defence the entire match.
It was his brilliant dipping shot, which was saved magnificently by Joe
Hart, that resulted in the corner which allowed Koscielny his chance to
blast the ball into the back of the net.
Cazorla is making huge inroads at the Emirates this season, having
played just a handful of games, he’s already set to play a key role in
Arsenal’s league challenge this season. The Gunners are unbeaten in the
Premier League so far, with nine points from five games, and they could
keep pace at the top of the league if Cazorla stays fit and continues to
play as brilliantly as he’s done so far this season.
In the yesterday’s match, Cazorla became a passing god, often
overshadowing David Silva. Hailed by many as the signing of the summer
when he arrived from Malaga for around £15 million in August, he is now
confirming the hype with his wizardry on the ball. He brings with him a
style of attack that’s needed in the Arsenal setup. Unafraid to shoot
outside the box, he’s always keeping the opposition busy and sucking in
defenders while creating space for other players to make angled runs.
What can I say about the little master that hasn’t been said before?
He’s put in man of the match performances every time he’s played. He’s
unafraid to get involved and his link up play with players is simple
outstanding. First we saw it with Gervinho, then Podolski and now in
yesterday’s match with Arteta. He’s a gift to the team and yet at the
same he’s providing gifts to the Arsenal faithful. Already dubbed to be
the player of the season, we got to take our hats off and applaud what
Cazorla has brought to Arsenal so far. Carry on you beauty, carry on
