Montpellier President dismisses Arsenal match, mocks Giroud

After what can only be described as a nightmare start to their defence of the Ligue 1 championship, Montpellier’s President is more concerned about their next league match against Saint-Etienne than the clubs first ever Champions League match which sees them play Arsenal on Tuesday night.
Speaking to L’Equipe, Louis Nicollin said
I’ve no worries, I’m sure [that they will play well against Arsenal]. But the match against Saint-Etienne is more important than Arsenal. Tuesday night, the stadium will be full, I’m happy for our supporters, but nothing more. Savour what it is to be champions of France. Champions League is good, but it is not an end in itself.
Then asked to give a word about Olivier Giroud who played such a large part in helping Montpellier claim the title last season and his return to his old club, Nicollin said
