Fernando Llorente to Arsenal rumours gather pace
It has been mentioned in quite a few publications today that Arsenal are talking to Athletico Bilbao about the possibility of bring the Spanish international striker Fernando Llorente to the Emirates this summer.
It was reported in Bilbao that Arsene Wenger had been seen in the Basque city and had met up with Llorente himself in a local hotel yesterday, and there was likely to be a press conference today regarding a move, but that is doubtful as the prolific hitman is currently training with the Spain squad ahead of the Euro2012 tournament, according to ElCorreo.
Llorente, like Robin Van Persie, is entering the final 12 months of his contract and is certain to be leaving Bilbao this summer, but with a รข‚¬36million buy-out clause there will be a lot of negotiating to do before any move becomes a fact.
But the worrying thing for Arsenal fans is that if Wenger is seriously considering a deal for a big money striker like this it can only mean that he is looking for a top-class replacement for Robin Van Persie…. but these are just rumours "got from another site"
confirmed story states that " RVP is not moving from Arsenal though getting more striking force from Liorente who has been confirmed that he has moved from Bilbao.
